Frequently Asked Questions
At what age should my child start lessons?
Babies can start from as young as 8 months old. However, it is never too late to learn to swim and we have children of all ages swimming with us. We will ensure that your child is placed in a class with children of the same age or at a similar level.
How often should we attend swimming lessons?
We recommend at least 1 lesson a week. However, the more your child practices, the faster they are going to learn. By swimming twice a week, your child will learn more quickly, both in technique and confidence.
Do lessons carry on during school holidays?
No, however we do offer a Holiday Clinic for those wishing to improve their swimming.
Is it a good idea to carry on with lessons during winter?
Continuity of lessons plays a crucial part in building water protection and confidence for young children. Our indoor pool, with consistently warm temperatures, makes the water experience a comfortable one all year. Have a dry towel and warm clothes ready for your child at the end of the lesson.
What happens if I miss a lesson?
As per the Swimming Regulations, if you miss a lesson, you forfeit it. If we for some reason have to cancel a lesson, we will make it up at a mutually convenient time.
