Aquabats Swim School was started by Britt & Alison Hyland in February 2004.  Both Britt & Alison were strong swimmers in their youth and have continued their passion for the sport through teaching.

In December 2020 Britt "retired" from Aquabats to pursue her passion for adult swim and triathlon coaching. 

Britt & Alison are both Swimming South Africa (SSA) and Professional Baby Swim Teachers and Coaches Association (PBSTCA) accredited instructors. Britt is also a Level 1 Coach.

The swim school is located in Green Point on the Atlantic Seaboard, Cape Town and the facility is heated and enclosed. Lessons are offered year round.
